Drawing on a diverse set of experiences, generations and continental locations, the quartet of Japanese saxophonist and vocalist Akira Sakata, New York drummer Chris Corsano, Japanese-based NYC guitarist Jim O'Rourke and London saxophonist Matte Rasmussen came together at Superdeluxe in 2017 for this wild and far-ranging concert of free and electrified improvisation.

Three live performances in Greece, Italy and Brussels from saxophonist & multi-reedist Akira Sakata and his long-standing duo partner as Entasis — pianist Giovanni di Domenico — and based on location, with Giotis Damianidis on electric guitar, Petros Damianidis on double bass, and Stephanos Chytiris, Balazs Pandi or Aleksandar Skoric on drums.

Legendary Japanese free jazz reedist Akira Sakata's first release on the Ftarri label, in a concert with sound artist and synthesist Ken Ikeda, recording live at Fatrri's own Tokyo space in two improvised performances of approximately 30 minutes each of subtle, expressive interactions through even-tempered discourse and spacious patience, punctuated by Sakata's bell.
