A remarkable 2016 recording from the nine-member Norwegian ensemble The Touchables, blending composed and improvised elements in four extended acoustic works, drawing from chamber music, minimalism, and sound to create slowly evolving textures with strings, winds, bass, handbells, and percussion in a stark, resonant, and deeply immersive sonic environment.

Sonic sources of a wide variety of timbre, rhythm and tone, mixed with voice, feedback, even bird sounds, make up the strata of this intriguing album from Oslo Improvisers Agnes Hvizdalek (voice), Magnus Skavhaug Nergaard (electric bass, electronics, field recordings), Utku Tavil (snare drum, no input mixer, sampler), and Natali Abrahamsen Garner (voice, electronics).

The Ich Bin Nintendo trio of Christian Skar Winther (guitar & voice), Magnus Skavhaug Nergaard (bass) and Joakim Heibo Johansen (drums) take their improvised noise music into the post-punk world with demanding and energetic music that voices it's power and exultation.
