Percussionist Peter Conradin Zumthor presents a stunning debut solo album, capturing one of the truly independent voices in the Swiss musical landscape in a 7-part contiguous work recorded at Radio Studio 1 in Zurich with a great feeling for form, distances and dynamics, as an incredibly focused, virtuosic, creative and deeply felt story is told.

"I came across Peter Conradin Zumthor during the premiere of a composition about the Flood. There was this tall guy standing on stage, working hard, sweating heavily, opening up all the floodgates of heaven with his drum set. It was an acoustic Armageddon like I've never seen or heard before. I was pretty impressed. And a little intimidated, too.
Later, I was lucky enough to work with Peter Conradin Zumthor several times, and I witnessed him looking into the deepest abysses, or creating the most delicate land - scapes with his instruments. Fragile spaces are created here. They exist only in our minds. And perhaps they tell us more about ourselves than we'd like to know. But fortunately we're in good hands, be - cause Peter Conradin Zumthor has a great sense of humour. A shaggy, goodhearted man making music for people. Music that you can't listen to without knowing a bit more about the world afterwards."-Noel Akchote
