Descriptions, Reviews, &c.

"timeSpacePlace (a-side) and timeSpacePlace (b-side) are two different renderings of the same composition. Both versions can accompany the video work Unseasonal Events Change Hands, by Toby Kaufmann-Buhler (www.oscillation.org/tkbuhler).

In addition to the acoustic and computer-manipulated sounds of the marimba, timeSpacePlace features a mallet-tracking computer interface which I designed. This system allows each of my four mallets to be tracked independently, and in the case of timeSpacePlace, to control computer-synthesized, non-discrete (micro-tonal), percussive (bell-like) and sustained sounds, the latter of which smoothly slide in the pitch domain."-Sound-Space Audio Lab
