Varying the instrument and proportions of acoustic or electric presentation straddling the foreground/background dynamic for each track, Appalachian Trance Metal guitarist Killick presents his first vinyl LP to extend his vast CD discography; a worthy and curious album of solo guitar, acoustic and electroacoustic work that belongs in any guitar enthusiast's collection.
11 tracks with titles that Squidco really doesn't know quite how to present....

descriptions, reviews, &c.
"Metal and nylon strings transmitting (by way of wood and/or additional substratum) pitches stasis motion punctuations quietude events consonances irresolutions intangibles atmospheres sharings stirrings in a paracosmic language bath of repetition and non-repetition.
"This is my first vinyl LP. I chose to work with this somewhat-recently revitalized format (no digital release!)...with lots of space and comings and goings. Each song features a different instrument in various proportions of acoustic or electric presentation straddling the foreground/background dynamic, while the sleeve and insert features poetry exploring through words the world I often depict through sound alone. Artwork by Dale Inglett; recorded by Killick Hinds. Thanks as always for listening."
Killick Hinds lives in Athens, Georgia. His music is Appalachian Trance Metal made on unusual stringed instruments with an emphasis on unquantifiable rhythms, intuitive intonation, and shamanistic ROYGBIV. The primary sonic influences on Killick are animals, wind, water, fire, electrical hum, and silence. Pop-culture mashups and ancient and obscure forms infuse his music; the effect more closely resembles speech patterns and emotionally-drawn architecture than it does conventional Western music. Despite its eclectic nature the sounds are surprisingly familiar and accessible to audiences of all ages and levels of musical involvement. "-H(i)nds(i)ght
