Recorded during the Jazz Middelheim Festival in 2014, the quartet of Belgium drummer and label-leader Teun Verbrougeh and pianist Jozef Dumoulin are joined with Norwegian bassist living in the US Ingebrigt Haker Flaten, and New York trumpeter Nate Wooley, to record this set of formidable free jazz, released in a vinyl LP with 3 12x12 prints, one for each piece.

"On the 14th of August. 2014 Teun Verbruggen curated the club stage at the Jazz Middelheim Festival. One of the small sets of that day was an acoustic improvisation set with Ingebrigt Haker Flaten, Jozef Dumoulin, Nate Wooley and Teun Verbruggen. Luckily the tape was rolling :) This set was mixed and mastered by Richard Compte (France) and released without editing as this beautiful new vinyl release.

Teun Verbruggen (BE) - Drums and Objects Teun Verbruggen co - founder of Rat Records has become a true icon of the Belgian Jazz and improvisation scene. Initially he was mainly active as a sideman with Jef Neve Trio, Flat Earth Society, Alexi Tuomarrilla Quartet,... and shared the stage with Uri Caine, Harmen Fra anje, Peter Evans, Keiji Haino, Melanie De Biasio,... Besides those groups he's also the leader of international bands like Warped Dreamer, The Bureau Of Atomic Tourism, Othin Spake, The Evil Art Contest,... and recently owner of an artist center called 'WALTER'
