Descriptions, Reviews, &c.
Cusack has a fascination with environmental sounds. When he heard about the ice flows in the Baikal Lake of Siberia he packed his bags and recorder and headed north. These are the resulting recordings, including various narrative bits surrounding his field recordings. The sounds of the ice flow are amazing, from simple sounds best described as a rain stick to the tremendous sounds of the cracking and movement of huge pieces of ice. An interesting and sometimes quirky approach to environmental field recording.
