The debut solo album from Iranian, Belgium-based clarinetist and improviser Ghazal Faghihi, a cycle of thirteen fully improvised pieces using clarinets, objects, Shruti box and electro-acoustic and interactive electronics to extend the instrument into fragile sound worlds of breath, resonance, texture and silence, moving through uncertainty in a shadowed space between order and chaos.

Artist Biographies

Ghazal Faghihi is an Iranian, Belgium-based clarinetist and improviser whose work explores the extended sonic possibilities of historical and modern clarinets through free improvisation, electro-acoustic interaction and electronics. Classically trained while deeply engaged with experimental practice, she shapes fragile, searching sound worlds that move between breath, resonance, texture and silence, extending the clarinet into a field of intimate and unpredictable sonic expression.
