Descriptions, Reviews, &c.

"Voort4 makes crossover music influenced by jazz, blues, salsa, pop, free- and modern (classical) music. The pieces and harmonies are starting points for individual and collective improvisations. Most compositions are made by Martin Tervoort and worked out collectively, except "Mazad" composed by D. Holland."

He currently plays with Hardmoed Grefe (bass) in "Triptet 2", and in "Triptet 4" with Hardmoed Grefe (bass), Erik Karsemeijer (percussion) and Henk Zwerver (guitar). He also forms the "Duo Pogen" together with Erik Karsemeijer. Finally he plays in "Voort (4)", a jazz quartet with Bert Kleijn (drums), Fons Sluijter (cello) and Steve Bradshaw (violin)."
