From their work together in the New York aberrant hardcore band Meta-matics, the electoacoustic duo of Frank Vogl and Chuck Bettis emerged, creating a peculiar and energetic dialog from Bettis' max/msp patches and Franke's tabletop prepared bass, performed live as improvised spontaneous compositions of great detail and unpredictability.

"Franke Vogl and Chuck Bettis first meet when they were still teenagers in the DC hardcore scene. Shortly after their first encounter they would become 1/2 of the quartet called the Meta-matics, a short lived abnormal hardcore punk band whose reputation for originality and energetic performances continues to live on to this day. When the band dissolved their love for extremes only grew stronger. Now decades later the two continue to navigate the underground with the same ferocity whilst exploring the depths of the avant-garde deeper than they have before. Vogl and Bettis congeal once again to bring you "Bobo Fossils", which contains music created by fusing two highly unusual instruments; Chuck's self-made max/msp patches with Franke's tabletop prepared bass, creating spontaneous compositions that defy easy categorization."-Earth2Ether
