Shelley Hirsch, based in Brooklyn, NYC, is one of the most astonishing vocalists of improvised music. She is not only a singer, but a composer and performance artist as well. Since the 80s she has fostered a friendship with Hans Koch and Martin Schutz. She was part of the ensemble X-Communication which the two Swiss men had founded with Butch Morris.
