Daisy, Tim Trio: A Fine Day In Berlin (Relay Records)
Label: Relay Records
Released in: USA

"After a ten date European tour with 'Dave Rempis' Percussion Quartet', finishing in Pozanan, Poland, I jumped on a train for a short ride over to Berlin. Meeting up with two of my friends, who also happen to be two of my favorite musicians in the world, we spent an afternoon at Frangenheim studios producing sounds, drinking plenty of coffee, and having a blast doing it. Hope you enjoy the results!"-Tim Daisy, Chicago October 2013

Working in a number of different environments, he has composed for solo percussion, chamber groups, jazz ensembles, dance, theater, and film.

Tim has had the fortunate experience to work with many of the most cutting edge musicians currently working in the filed of improvised music including: Ken Vandermark, Jeb Bishop, Fred Lonberg-Holm, James Falzone, Dave Rempis, Steve Swell, John Tchicai, Mars Williams, Joe McPhee, Matt Bauder, Michael Zerang, and Frank Rosaly, and Aram Shelton.

Håvard Wiik (1975) studied jazz and composition at the jazz department at Trondheim Music Conservatory. He is one of Norway's most respected and profiled jazz pianists. He has for more than a decade been a member and founder of several the most important Norwegian ensembles (Atomic, Element, Free Fall) and he's also a been first choice in accompaniment of several international jazz greats. He has toured all over the world with these groups. In 2004 he had the honourably role as 'artist in residence' at the Molde international Jazzfestival in Norway. Clayton Thomas is a double bassist and grass roots organiser working in the broad spectrum of improvised music. Equally at home playing at high, medium and starkly reduced energy levels, he finds inspiration in creative music and musicians of all generations. He is the founder of The Splinter Orchestra, the NOW now festival and the concert series 'if you like improvised music, we like you." in Sydney, Australia.

"I'm trying to work out a physical activity equally engaged in electronic and acoustic music aesthetics, while maintaining the kind of transitional and transformative energy of the music that changed my life. I draw inspiration from creative music of all eras, happily learning from and engaging with improvisers, sound artists, composers and thinkers alive and kicking in the 21st century. I have been inspired and pushed by many great musicians, but would especially thank Jon Rose, Jim Denley, Andrew Meisel, Cooper-Moore, Tony Buck and Hollis Taylor for doing some real work on the topic. All my music is dedicated to my first teachers, Wilber Morris and Peter Kowald." "-Relay Recordings
