"Asking Joelle Leandre and Serge Teyssot-Gay to play as a duet for a benefit concert in support of a magazine seemed perfectly obvious to me, regardless of how merchants label one as a jazz musician and the other one as a rock musician. Brother and sister in a quest for unified, essential and honest art, theirs is a language of philosophical replenishment pulsating with improvisation, instantaneous invention and instinct. Their music is imbued with physicality, and, rather than seduction, with sensuality. One hears lyricism and revolt, the singing of birds, the starvation of those left behind. Their distilled knowledge becomes radically precise, spawning multifaceted silence and liberating trances."-Fara C. from the liner notes
