descriptions, reviews, &c.

The Core's 2007-2008 lineup included a new saxophonist, Jorgen Mathisen, adding fresh power to this quartet's electric-Miles influenced sets. These recordings are taken from three club dates in Poland, 2007-2008, showing their amazing versatility and intense sound, driven by a ragged Fender Rhodes that makes The Core one of the coolest bands to come out of Sweden!

"Over the past few years we have done some fantastic tours of Poland, recording most of our shows using a portable recording studio. The original idea for this release was to release the concert from Free Blues Club, featuring our new saxophone player Jorgen Mathisen. When we sat down listening through the recordings, we realized what great documentation these recordings were for our activity over the past two years, and the project gradually grew bigger. This resulting double CD catches our joy of playing, and the joy of meeting a great audience"-The Core, from the liner notes
