descriptions, reviews, &c.

Dark rock with attitude, as featured on the .2 Contamination David Bowie tribute release and Strange As Angels, a tribute to the Cure (on this album they cover The Cure's "Cold").

"Sounding like, say, Type O Negative meets Dead Kennedys by way of Ministry, it's not surprising that the ever-evolving Ahab Rex's iconoclastic music slices and dices through the usual dark rantings expected and instead serve up a brain salad surgery that's completely of their own making. While they can be hauntingly subdued, this (current) quintet is not afraid to give full vent to their rant and rave, as witnessed when they cajole the listener to "Join us/suck the lust." It'll be interesting to see what their contribution to an impending Cure tribute CD sounds like as a trio." 2003 Best Of Around Hear David C. Eldredge - Illinois Entertainer
