High concept violinist Jon Rose presents another chapter of his fanciful history of the violin. This one involves conjoined twins who play conjoined 10-string violin. The disc comes with a lengthy booklet of hilariously "academic" essays, but never mind that. The music itself is a hella solo recital, Rose playing the "double violin" with a bow in each hand. Without a hand to ringer the necks, it's remarkable the diversity and musicality he wreaks.
