Artist Biographies:

"Cecilia Quinteros born in 1985, Buenos Aires, Argentina. she has developed her language as a self-taught improvising cello player.

Since 2007 she has co-created many experimental music projects in Argentina and worked with theater, visual artists, contemporary and butoh dancers. She also premiered cello quartet pieces at the 2009 and 2011 editions of the Tsonami International Sound Art Festival in Buenos Aires. In 2010 the Athens Arts Ensemble (meq) commissioned her to compose a piece which premiered at athens concert hall. In July 2013 she was invited by the Danish record labels Ilk and Barefoot Records to perform several concerts at the Copenhagen and Aarhus Jazz Festivals. She spent the next year and a half playing concerts in different groups at clubs and festivals throughout denmark.

She has played with the musicians: Lotte Anker, Dror Feiler, Paal Nilssen-Love, Sture Ericson, Koichi Makigami, Sabu Toyozumi, Kesten Osgood, Nils Bo Davidsen, Mary Faust, Martin Küchen, Hearn Gadbois, Among Many Others. She Performed Solo Cello Concerts In Argentina, Brazil, Italy, Denmark, Germany, Austria And Czech Republic.

Her current projects include Ruido², Yas, Rhabdoviridae, Eriza, The Corporation, Haiti, And A Duo W / Alex Elgier."

"Christoph Gallio was born in 1957 and lives in Baden, Switzerland. Self-taught, he began playing 19 years soprano saxophone. He studied saxophone with Iwan Roth at Basel Conservatory and Music at Steve Lacy in Paris. MA in Transdisciplinarity at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK). Gallio in 1987 received the Special Art Prize of the city of Basel and the Canton Aargau 2009 Berlin studio and 2012 a work contribution. He directs the bands DAY & TAXI (with Silvan Jeger and David Meier), MÖSIÖBLÖ (with Sylvia Nopper, Marino Pliakas and Thomas Eckert), and ROSES FOR ALL (with Jan Roder and Oliver Steidle). "Alex Elgier is a musician from Argentina. Pianist and composer, dedicated to contemporary and experimental music. He formed part of the trio, Elgier-Grinenco-Sahlieh, and with them recorded the album veiled for the Portuguese free improvisation label Creative Sources. He was a founding member of La Orquesta De Improvisadores De Buenoes Aires, in which he directed as well as played piano and clarinet. He has also composed original music for various dance works. He maintains an online diary where he publishes all his electronic music productions."

"Marcelo von Schultz (Argentina, 1976) musician, drummer and teacher. Coming from the scene of jazz and creative music from the West (Dervish, Doña Marìa, Antü) for several years is devoted to the exploration and development of improvised music and free jazz.

He has recorded two albums with Catriel Nievas, Dùo (2014) and Tùneles (2016), both edited by the Argentine label Isla Visión and by the French label Adaptador Records.

Currently he continues playing in Dervish and is part of the trio Haiti, along with Cecilia Quinteros and Sergio Merce, a duo with Hernán Samá and the Mokita quartet with Cecilia Quinteros, Christoph Gallio and Alex Elgier.

As a teacher he dictates the subject Afro-Latin Percussion of the chair of battery at the School of Art of Luján (Prov. Of Buenos Aires)."
