"This duo started performing live in 2012 by giving concerts in Austria, Germany and France.Vicente-Sandoval's bassoon approach fits in pretty well with Filip's work on sinewaves. The deconstructed usage of her instrument is a central aspect of her practice. She also amplifies its sections through miniature microphones distributed within the instrument. Focusing on the fragility of sound and its emergence within a given space, she considers music more as the punctuating of a preexisting sonorous environment, rather than an out of context, autonomous discourse. Silence and barely perceptible sounds (as well as their amplification) are central to her work. The main focus of Filip's work is sinewaves, whose subtle sounds are used in a wide dynamic range. While he used to play on the edge of a computers abilities in the past years, he is now reducing the processes to mere sinus-waves, overlapping with themselves and the ever sounding surroundment of a place; searching for the individual limits of perception, in loudness and movement. In this recording, both musicians achieve an evocative playing, oscillating between approach and remoteness."-Potlatch
