"From the start (around the year 2000) the Tics were mainly a radio & studio project centered around the similarity of people having the Syndrome of Giles De La Tourette and people that do experimental or improvised music. Except for curating the Radioplays series for WORM, (broadcasted on national radio 6, VPRO, Cafe Sonore) the Tics were quite active producing their own radioplays and sometimes making live-radioplays and of course, performing those.

There's a lot of Static Tics material on Radio Worm. Actually, the Tics are the founders and keepers of this ongoing radio-magazine (since 2000). In 2007 The Tics decided to go ÜBERGROUND, trashed their laptops (not!) & went back to the old 'machines'; guitar and bass clarinet -but still using a lot of electronics. New element now; (non) fiction. They cooperated ao. with Steve Beresford (not on this CD!) and Mike Majkovski (not on this CD!) and finally decided to release something. Listening back to the hours & hours of material that were recorded through the years they came to the very unexcusable conclusion that they should start at the beginning. So this CD consists of the very first material the Static Tics ever recorded and edited (the so-called 'number mixes'), surrounded by material from later periods. To be Continued."-Z6 Records
