Two sets from Sun Ra's very large Arkestra with both Allen and Gilmore recorded live at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London on November 9th, 1970 - their debut UK concert. The recordings are a bit rough and hissy, but over two CDs the listener gets a great feeling for the very experimental and massive approach the Arkestra takes, with plenty of room for soloing, and a lot of wild electronic and acoustic attacks. There's no doubt the band is on, and in a grand space like the Queen Elizabeth Hall the Arkestra soars, delivering a remarkable concert.
