"At Instal Fest '08 in Glasgow, Scotland, at David Keenan's suggestion, the idea for a trio of Don Dietrich, Ben Hall and himself was hatched. As the idea for the tour came together, Keenan unfortunately had to step out for personal reasons. CSY graciously accepted to take his place, and what was originally to be an acoustic Babi Music cover band became the electro-acoustic behemoth The New Monuments. } Sharing a common head for so-called "abstract sound" constructions, the members come from related, though diverse, musical backgrounds. With saxophone, violin, and trapset, they attempt to soundtrack the maiden voyage of a luxury cruise ship constructed solely out of granite cement and ball bearings."-Important Records
