"Acoustic Guitar" is my first recording. At the time, i felt a real need to record some solo pieces to honor Derek Bailey who was very important to my development as a guitarist in this music. Recorded in 2004, a year before his passing, "DB1" and "DB2" where played and recorded with Derek in mind. "M" was originally recorded for a project with vocalist/electronic artist Matt Pass. I liked the original so much that i used it here, untouched by what came later. "From Guitar" is a computer piece using M as source material. The bonus track included here in this re-issue, "Focus!" is an improvisation with vocalists Melissa Fathman and Matt Pass recorded in their apartment. We played together a lot a long time ago and this track is my favorite thing we've ever done and represents well what we where as a trio."-Barry Chabala, Roeba
