Kamil Szuszkiewicz is a Warsaw based trumpeter and composer active in improvisation and experimental performance. He is known for several collaborative projects in Poland, with releases on Wounded Knife, Slowdown Records, Elementworks, Not On Label and Iskry. This album is a joint release between Bolt and Wounded Knife.

• Show Bio for Kamil Szuszkiewicz "Kamil Szuszkiewicz: Composer and trumpeter associated with jazz and improvisation. A member of Zebra's ensembles Mit, Professionalism and Trifonidis and WIO orchestras; often plays with other Warsaw musicians (Wojtek Traczyk, Hubert Zemler). He has two original albums ("Istina" and "Robot Czarek") and many group albums. Kamil Szukiewicz was born in 1982 in Olsztyn, where he began learning to play the trumpet. Then in Warsaw he graduated from the Jazz Department of the State Music School. Fryderyk Chopin. He developed his skills at master classes as part of the School of Improvisational Music in Rome, Warsaw and Katowice (Ralph Alessi class). Szuszkiewicz was a scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the laureate of the first Creations / Clashes prize at the Art of Improvisation festival in Wrocław (2013). As a soloist and leader of the team record in factories Lado ABC ( 16'25 " ) Bolt Records ( " Robot Czarek " ) , Wounded Knife ( " Istina " , " Bugle Call and Response ") and Slowdown Records ( "Prolegomena" ), composed of solo to nonet, with the participation of electronics, synthesizers, percussion, singing, saxophones and piano. Participated in numerous tours and appeared on television and radio around the world with Spiritualized, Moonshake and the extreme free jazz band Solar Fire Trio. As a member of Spiritualized he made the albums "Live at the Albert Hall", "Let It Come Down" and "Amazing Grace". He played with Dr John on his album "Anutha Zone" which was one of his greatest pleasures. In addition he has recorded and performed with among others ; Sonic Youth, Suicide, Loka, Moose, Lush, Stereolab, the Durutti Column, AMP, the Duke Spirit, Cornershop, Six to Seven, Damo Suzuki, Thighpaulsandra, Soulsavers (Mark Lanegan), Gallon Drunk, Michael J Sheehey, Dead Skeletons, Mark Gardener and Laetitia Sadier. Collaborated with Eddie Prevost, the legendary founder of the AMM, as well as playing concerts with improvisers such as Peter Brotzmann, Satoko Fuji, Augusti Fernandez, Paal Nilssen Love, Philip Marks, Chris Corsano, Brigitte Kuepper, John Butcher, Lol Coxhill, Carlos Zingaro, John Edwards, Martin Kuchen, Jeffrey Morgan, Evan Parker and many others. He currently lives in Warsaw and is an active participant in the Polish improvised music scene.
