Solo improvisations from Israel free jazz guitarist Ido Bukelman, who's idiosyncratic style often finds itself in the company of Albert Beger, Harold Rubin, Yoni Kerzmer, &c. &c. Here Bukelman records on the acoustic guitar, banjo, and various percussive items. His approach is exploratory, a search for a new language, using a setup that allows him to play all three instruments simultaneously. His music lies somewhere between Ornette Coleman, Jimi Hendrix, and Derek Bailey, an excellent set of influences that yields a wide-ranging sound that is both challenging and embraceable. The title track is a seven part journey through a "Red Door" ending in "The Room's Journey".
