Musique Pour Statues-Menhirs

"At the initiative of arbouse recordings, and in partnership with the museum Fenaille * (Archaeological Museum of Rodez), artists were invited to create a musical universe in 2008 around the collection of statues-menhirs of the museum. Necessarily subjective and conceptual terms, the project brings together artists officiating in various registers and varied, offering an eclectic range of music and very different climates.

On 25 April, opening the output disc, 4 artists who participated in the project discographic come live in a museum, among the statues menhirs, it's an excellent French with Fennesz, Mira Calix, Mapstation and David Daniell. It is also the first time such an event takes place in an archaeological museum and a collection of this type is performed by contemporary artists.

*The link with the museum, is all the more that the label is located Montrozier, a small medieval village, where Maurice Fenaille, which gave its name to the museum, is intimately connected. This is an extraordinary patron of the early 20th who devoted his life to art (patron of Rodin, Bourdelle ...)."-Thrill Jockey
