Bascaille: Quelque chose

Insanely inventive and obsessive, the Bascaille trio of Antoine Letourneau-Berger, Olivier Tremblay-Noel and Tom Jacques use a mix of traditional and world percussive devices, homemade instruments, objects and amplification to create works of contemporary art and percussion, using equal temperament, microtonality, noise music, improvisation, unison, and polyrhythms.

Brotzmann, Peter: 14 Love Poems [VINYL]

Reissuing German saxophonist Peter Brötzmann's 1984 solo album on the FMP label, inspired by a poetry booklet by Kenneth Patchen of the same name, a little known poet whose booklet Brötzmann carried with him around the time of this recording, evoking passionate and emotional playing on alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone, clarinets, & tarogato.

Reissuing two essential albums from saxophonist Marion Brown--Why Not? New York Contemporary Five: Consequences Revisited

Though short-lived, the New York Contemporary Five brought together NY free players Don Moore on bass, J.C. Moses on drums, Archie Shepp on tenor saxophone, and Don Cherry on trumpet with Danish alto saxophonist John Tchicai, in a remastered edition of their 1966 album "Consequences", expanded with Shepp's revisiting of the material in a sextet with Sunny Murray and Ted Curson.

Jaeger, Kassel / Jim O'Rourke: In Cobalt Aura Sleeps [VINYL]

Franco-Swiss composer & electroacoustic musician and director of INA GRM, François J. Bonnet, aka Kassel Jaeger, joins forces with sound artist Jim O'Rourke in a followup to their 2017 album Wakes on Cerulean, in a large two-part work of electroacoustic compositions, merging synthetics and drone elements of detailed and absorbing sound.
