SQUIDCO/SQUID'S EAR NEWS

May 23, 2008

Squidco

A shorter list as we catch up from vacations and go into the Memorial Day Weekend. Highlights this time around include the new Scorch Trio on CD & LP, and our addition of Paal Nilssen-Love's PNL label, including his latest duo with Broo Magnus; 5 Japanese facsimile releases of Art Zoyd's original LPs; 5 new Cuneiform titles including new Lars Hollmer and Wadada Leo Smith CDs; 2 new Hatology releases including a new Dave Liebman and Ellery Eskelin CD and a Matthew Shipp reissue; 3 additional titles from Alfred Harth's Laubhuette CDR label; and a strange vocal duo LP from Jaap Blonk and DylanNyoukis.

There are also a large number of items in stock but still working their way to this news letter. The next issue of this mailing list will also list several new reviews on The Squid's Ear that will be published over the next two weeks.

Last, it seems that inflation is now a way of life and the US Post Office has announced annual changes to their postal rates, which started May 15. Consequently we've made some minor changes to our shipping policies, which you can read about here. Our new rates aren't significantly different than before: US media mail is a flat rate of $2.25 for any size order, and international and US 1st Class orders have Squidco picking up additional shipping costs over 6 items. We're always happy to quote actual shipping costs for any customer should you have any concerns, so please feel free to contact us.
